DAY – 1
BODRUM
Bodrum is one of the best starts for sailing around the Aegean sea-coast of Turkey. The Gökova Cove is accepted by almost everyone to be one of the best cruising zones in Europe. With supperabundant sunshine, crystal clear glassy waters, endless blue skies which make your day better, good harbors and friendly, debonair people, This coast provides you many choices. There are many uncorrupted areas rich in natural beauty and in costal settlements and villages. Bodrum is a port town in Muğla city, in the southwest of Aegean Region of Turkey. It is placed on the southern coast of Bodrum Peninsula, at a point that controls the entrance into the Gulf of Gökova. The city was known as Halicarnassus of Caria in ancient times and was known for housing the Mausoleum of Mausolus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Bodrum Castle, built by the Crusaders in the 15th century, it had the view of harbor and the marina. The castle grounds include a Museum of Underwater Archeology and entertains many cultural festivals year long.
DAY– 2
COKERTME BAY, ORAK ISLAND
Cokertme, singed in the native folk songs, is an important stopover before or after crossing the Gokova Gulf. Cokertme Bay its name is rooted on the small town settled along its side. Cokertme Bay is positioned among Kepce Burnu and Karaburun and is a guarded place for spending the night. It is popular amongst the yachtsmen community because of the fact that it protects the boats against the wild winds specially those blowing from the west-north and west-east way. The Cokertme shoreline is long and spotted with range of pine and olive trees. The place has many local restaurants providing delicious food to tourists at reasonable prices. Tourists can also enjoy outstanding belly dancing performances at night! Orak Island, positioned 10 miles to the east of Bodrum, is known for its rich maritime life and crystal clear blue waters. It is a popular point where Gulets and Sailing Yachts on Gokova trips do not pass without pausing. The island stretches opposite of the Kargicik Isle and has prominent shores guarded with olive trees in the down slopes of the mounts. There is no settling on the island but there are sheltered bays that you can berth at in the north. To its east, the sea looks like an aquarium. Tea will be served in Yaliciftlik Cove. An optional town tour can be organised from this bay for those people who want to experience the local life.
DAY – 3
ENGLISH HARBOUR, SEDIR ISLAND
English Harbour, according to the locals, British naval vessels were hid at this English Harbor during World War II. During the German occupation of the Greek Islands, two British military aircrafts with skeletons of the pilots were discovered by Turkish divers at the English Harbor. It is suggested that these two airplanes were shutdown by German anti craft guns form the near by Greek Islands in 1942. So this beautiful place is full of history that you can go and see with your brand-new Turkyacht Gulet!
Cleopatra Island (Sedir Island - Cedrae) is positioned around 18 kms north of Marmaris. Cleopatra Island is also known as Sedir Island or City Island and is known for its golden sandy beach known as Cleopatra Beach and the old city of Cedrae. The remnants of the city walls can be seen on this island. It is also famous for its ancient theatre ruins.
There is an interesting beach on the small bay, north-west of the island. If folk lore is to be believed, Cleopatra and Antonius swam here and the sands were brought by the ships from North Africa! It is also believed that this type of sand can only be seen in Egypt. The ruins on the eastern side of the island stand for the era of the Romans. The theatre area is in good condition. On this very side is also Agora, where athletics festivals used to be organized in the honor of Apollo, according to some epigraphs.
DAY – 4 KARACASOGUT Karacasogut is a perfect bay. The forest hugs the sparkling sea and everywhere is full of rhododendrons. The mountains there are covered with fresh pine trees, and there is a styrax forest close to shore. The trees in this forest are quite wild and unusual. It’s worth-while to eat at the restaurants and take a walk there. The view from the hills is very impressive. You may want to visit Karacasogut Bay with your Luxury Gulet.
DAY – 5
LONGOZ, TUZLA BAY
Longoz has the most fascinating bays in the Cove of Gokova. They fall down from the steep mounts and seem to roll down into the sea with the exception of a long line of trees that separates its line from the waters. Here you can savour the beautiful nature at its best! Winds blow from all directions and present the perfect conditions for medium-sized yachts looking for a mooring place to anchor in the salt water lake or in the island.
Tuzla is a charming fishermen’s village famous for its lovely restaurants and specialties with fresh sea products. There are a lot of small farmers, nursery gardens and bee-keepers. The shallow water attracts wading birds and other wildlife. It is an area of outstanding beauty and players of the noble game of Gulf will love this area as it has been chosen for the development of a number of Gulf courses.
DAY – 6
KUFRE BAY, LONG PORT, SEVEN ISLANDS
You can stop by the natural harbour of Kufre or take a calm walk on the seashore along the Gulluk Forest. The southern coast of the Gulf of Gokova in across the four islands is covered with huge pine forests that spread across kms along the coast and among the two a natural cove is created. You can berth betwixt the islands or inside a bay and rest in calm in any weather condition. Then it’s time to enjoy your trip with your Turkyacht Gulet!
Long Port heads to the east for about 1000ms, narrows and closes by a pool. The entranceway is about 130 ms wide and it makes a large cove after the entrance. Tied coves in the area are fully covered with stunning pine trees. The settings are impressive.
One of the best stops during the Blue Gulet Cruise is at the Seven Islands, a seclusive cove to the southern of Tuzla. It is an ideal point for swimming, snorkeling, fishing and sponge diving. Not all beaches are jagged and rocky, although the islands are mostly barren. But if you are a nature lover, you can enjoy a nice trail in the cove areas covered with pine trees. Camalti, Single Port, Karacam port, the port of Long, Dark and Gullu Kufre cove and island are the most important anchoring points in the Seven Islands. All the bays are linked to one another through quaint dirt paths.

AQUARIUM BAY, MERSINCIK BAY
Adabogazi (Aquarium Bay) derives its name from the word “Aquarium” simply because the water here is so clear. You can see as deep as 30m with the naked eye! There are small bays at the west end of the west end and together with the crystal clear waters, present a perfect feast to the senses.
The Mersincik Cove is on the Northern part of Datca and surrounded by fascinating forests, crystal clear blue waters and golden sandy bottom sea. As it is quite inviting and calm, this bay is preferred by yachtsmen.
DAY – 8
INCEBURUN, PALAMUTBUKU
Inceburun, a lovely cove in Datca district of the Mugla city. This evergreen area is really calm and not crowded at all, so you can take some goood rest here. With its pretty beach, shallow sea and windy weather that frees you, It’s a teeny tiny must-seen place that you can visit in your Turkyacht Gulet.
Palamutbuku is famuous for having the most beautiful beaches in the Datca peninsula. The beaches are small but very beautiful. Surrounded by mountains and spotted with gardens, these beaches are known for their tranquility and fresh sea air that together present the perfect backdrop for a rejuvenating getaway. Palamutbuku is positioned at the end of the peninsula and is also known for the ruins of the historical city of Knidos. Knidos, known for its bounty of fish, is located about 12 kms away.
The waters here are glassy so that people were convinced that if you take a needle at the very bottom of the sea, you can still see it! Go on a Gulet Yacht tour or simply sunbath on the beaches, watching vivacious birds flying. There is so much to do in Palamutbuku! The people here are debonair and friendly. DAY – 9
AKTUR BAY, BENCIK BAY
Witness the world`s oxygen tank at Aktur! Spotted with pine trees, it definitely is a slice of paradise. In fact, it won the title of the most beautiful bay inTurkey and proved to be a hot tourist destination. Aktur consists of two units, namely Datca and Kurucabuk, located at a distance of 4 km from each other. The Hisaronu bay is located very close to the narrowest strip of the Datca peninsula and zones the Cove of Gokova from the Cove of Hisaronu. Around 550 BC, it provided service as a defense line against the Persian army who wanted to have both Hisaronu Cove and the Gokova Cove by digging a tunnel along kilometers.
Being a mini island betwixt the two coves, it absolutely made a good point of defense. However, even though the work was started with big efforts, the city was conquered in the en by the Persians.
Just across the cove from Selimiye, Bencik provides you a calm and safe anchorage in amongst a charming pine forest. It is possible to get ashore on to a lawn, but there are no facilities. Featuring its deep, crystal clear and charming blue sea and the famous Kizkumu beach, Orhaniye is a charming place and all tourists ara amazed by its beauty. Take a journey down to its quaint town roads to discover the historical castle of the dark knight. Floating over in this bay, the Gulets present a lovely scene. DAY – 11 SELIMIYE BAY
The Selimiye village which is in the Mugla territory of Marmaris is the pearl of the Cove of Hisaronu. The old name of this town was Hydas, which got evolved to Losta. At sunset, the sun disappearing behind the mountains surrounding the village seems to dye the scenery in a rich red hue.
The ancient site of Bybossos Hydas (Selimiye) has ruins dating back to the archaic period. One of the highest mounts of the zone is in Selimiye, the other one at the top of Sarikaya and the last one has three castle ruins, including the Kizilkoy Asarkale area. The sheep-like southeast mounts are visited by foreign tourists want to explore the castle ruins dating back to the Hellenistic ages. The grave in the south part of the maidan is located 100 meters offshore from the seashore and guides ships the way to the Selimiye.
Other sections of interest include a observation tower, a lighthouse, an abbey and an ancient theater. American underwater archeologists and scientists are engrossed in investigating submersed wrecks in the zone and have discovered valuable findings that are now exhibited in the Bodrum Underwater Museum. Selimiye is frequented by the Blue Cruise Gulets. Selimiye - Hisaronu - Orhaniye are like an inseparable trio. DAY – 12
BOZBURUN, DIRSEKBUKU
Bozburun is famuous for the deriving sponge profession and Gullet Yacht building industry. Some of the best woods and artisans for building solid and pretty Gullet Boats are staysin this region, which is why the most successful names in the business employ Bozburun’s Gulet builders. Owing to its Gulet and Yacht producing industries, Bozburun has become a main magnet, visited by tourists from all around the world.
Dirsekbuku is located between the Gulf in the Aegean Sea and the Gulf of Hisaronu. There are many tourists travelling from Bodrum to Marmaris who stop here for a rest, which is why this region is replete with several sheltered bays. In addition, Dirsekbuku offers a great cruising experience, especially if you are leaving the different islands and sailing around Hisaronu in the morning.
DAY – 13
DATCA, KNIDOS (CNIDUS)
Datca was discovered by the Dorians who live in the Aegean islands and the southern coast ofIonia. This peninsula is located between the Aegean Sea and theMediterranean Sea. At the end of the chersonese, at a distance of around 38 kms is the old Carian city of Knidos, which was defined by Strabo as the city built for the most beautiful goddess, Aphrodite, on the most fascinating peninsula. It was also believed that about 500 years before, the Spanish pirates sailing left leprosy patients to death’s arms here but the sunny weather of the peninsula healed the patients! Anyway, the nature is so calming and wonderful there and that’s why you may take a walk in Datca Harbour.
Knidos is one of the most fascinating old cities in Anatolia that you should go and see. As the first settling in the east of the Datca peninsula, Knidos has marvellous ruins and a unequaled beauty. There is an amphitheater positioned right next to the harbour of the ancient city of Knidos.
A short walk towards the harbor will take you to the remains of two churches built during the Byzantine period. Knidos century has been a site of archaeological excavations since 1960. The Statue of Demeter discovered and the lion sculptures that protected the harbour in old times now decorate the halls of the British Museum. The hallowed chapel of the goddess Aphrodite is the main center of attraction. The city with a great graveyard, a double harbour and the brilliant acropolis with the temple of Aphrodite genuinely impresses all tourists.
DAY – 14
BLACK ISLAND, METEOR BAY, POYRAZ HARBOUR
Black Island (Karaada) is settled about 5 kms away from Bodrum and is known for the extensive healing power of its sulphured waters and mud-baths. The hot water and mud from the cavern is believed to renew beauty and health. The hot water has a temperature of around 29-32 degrees and flows into the sea. Here, you will have the chance of swimming in hot waters and take a mud-bath.
Meteor Bay is a mysterical place on the Black island. It is believed that long time before a meteor fell down there. Thus it’s named Meteor Bay. Within amazing sea ground you will make out that you come to Meteor Bay. The sea is in a delightful turquoise color and you will be enjoying every single minute in your Turkyacht Sailing Gulet.
Poyraz Harbor is an ideal place for diving for master divers as well as beginner or first-time divers. You can watch rock formations that start to appear at the depth of 20ms and descend up to 5ms.
